Severtson 32th Annual Bull Sale

Welcome to our 32nd Annual Bull Sale. What a difference a year makes. The cattle market has seen all-time high, its wonderful to see people getting paid for all their hard work. As always the offering of bulls are all two-year olds. We prefer these extra age bulls because they will service more cows and stand up better the first year. Once again the bulls have been developed at home. They are grown out slowly the first year and then go to grass and are brought to the yard in the fall to be fed a high roughage ration. We are very pleased to be working with Hurburt Livestock and S4 Ranch, the Stormoen family once again. Performance data and scrotal measurements on all of the bulls is available and if you require any additional information, just give us a call. We look forward to seeing you on March 3, please feel free to come and visit anytime prior to the sale. We will have our Open House on sunday March 2 all day. There will be videos on all the bulls on our website. If you are unable to be with us sale day DLMS will be on site and available for bidding and viewing of the sale.

Welcome to our First Frozen Genetics Sale. We felt it was time to clean up our inventory after 37 years of breeding Gelbvieh cattle. There are roughly 800 units of semen on 45 different sires, all of which we have used in our program over the years. There is something for everyone. There are some newer bulls that we are still using and there are many ‘Breed Legends’ that the semen is very rare on offer. These bulls built our program! On the embryo side, there are 70 embryos in the sale with 12 different donors being represented. Like the semen, there are some of the cows that we are currently flushing like Sugar & Spice 356D, Lisa 213D and Kitty’s Glow 9423E, as well as some of our past greats like CK 71X, SLC 13H, and SLC 188C. The group also includes some of our original donors like SLC Felisa 51B and TSCC Miss Ranger 42W. The semen is all qualified for Canada only. The embryos are qualified for Canada and USA, other than TSCC Miss Ranger 42W who is only qualified for Canada. If you have any questions about any of the lots, please feel free to give me a call.
